GYM MYTH #3 Targeting specific areas of the body for fat loss!

Spot reduction is the idea that you can target specific areas of your body for fat loss through exercise. For example, doing a lot of sit-ups will reduce the fat on your stomach. This is a myth because the human body does not work that way.

When you exercise, your body burns calories and fat from all over, not just the area you're working on. Additionally, where you store fat is determined by genetics, so it's not possible to change the areas of your body where fat is stored through exercise.

In order to lose fat in a specific area, you need to focus on overall weight loss through a combination of healthy diet and regular exercise. This will result in fat loss throughout your entire body, including the area you want to target.
